In The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses Episode 9, Komura and his friends join Mie’s group for a museum field trip. Mie promises to bring spare glasses to avoid Komura worrying about her. Unfortunately, Mie breaks her first pair of glasses and brings some fake glasses she purchased during a trip to Kamakura with Asuka.

Komura assists Mie throughout the trip despite her feeling terrible about depending on him. After getting lost during the trip, Komura finds her and Mie bursts into tears. Komura comforts Mie and confesses that he likes being depended on and loves that she forgets her glasses. The following day, Mie learns about Asuka’s affection for a boy and questions romance. After bumping into Komura and staring at him, she realizes he may have feelings for her. The episode closes with Mie hoping that’s the case.
